Years after Jerusalem's defeat by Babylon, the Jewish people returned to their land only to discover a city left in ruins. An impressive collection on specific elaboration of topological concepts. That being said, this is what I thought:
The book was too vague. The authors do an excellent job of discussing the challenges involved in adapting this model for smaller areas (as small as census tracts and block groups) in terms of data availability, data quality, and how the relative importance of the different components of the cohort-component model change as smaller geographic areas are considered. You might think that just because I live out in the middle of nowhere, without all the bells and whistles of electricity, phone service and running water, that a book like this would hold no appeal for me.
