Researchers around the world depend upon having access to authoritative, up-to-date data. And for 90 years, they have relied on the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics for that data. This year is no exception. New tables, extensive updates, and added sections mean the Handbook has again set a new standard for reliability, utility, and thoroughness. This edition features a completely new table of Physical Constants of Organic Compounds with data on almost 11,000 compounds, new structure diagrams, and a new, more convenient format. Reflecting CRC's dedication to ensuring the Handbook remains current, this edition also incorporates new entries and data from the U.S. Government's just-released "Tenth Report on Carcinogens."
Editorial : "The CRC Handbook has been, in successive editions, on my bedside table for the last 55 years." - Oliver Sacks, Neurologist and author "Exploringthe idea of periodicity took me away from my lab, took me to a new book that immediately became my bible, the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, a thick, almost cubical book of nearly three thousand pages, containing tables of every imaginable physical and chemical property, many of which, obsessively, I learned by heart." - Oliver Sacks in Uncle Tungsten, Memories of a Chemical Boyhood, Vintage Books, 2001
Having someone smile when they weren’t or knowing that those young women aren’t begging on the streets at this moment is an accomplishment and a solution in the right now. This book was great! It takes a lot for me to not be able to put the book down, but this nailed it. This is not a how to book, but a great reference catalog. For me this book was a real let-down. I think that at a high school level it would make a good addition to a library for use in research or for the student with a special interest. Baby Boomers know Ram Dass as an American celebrity from the 1960s who came back fr
