My child enjoys the colorful pages and variety of activities. But there's plenty of math so I don't feel anything is missing in that regard and I like how the book is organized - 1st half is all math, and the rest is language. Now that one of the "trio" had been killed, it was decided that she and Noah, the second of the trio, should live apart.

I like this technique versus showing each bird in the same, standardized pose. This is a great side conflict between what she wants (dueling) and what her mother wants (boring family business).
